ChocolaTea™ is a delicious, one-of-a-kind dark chocolate superfood beverage that you won’t find anywhere else. While it shares several similarities to coffee and tea—like the fact that it’s brewed and can be enjoyed hot or cold, with or without sweetener or creamer—it’s neither coffee nor tea…nor is it hot chocolate. Cacao beans also naturally contain a small amount of caffeine and theobromine, which can have a pleasant and mild stimulant effect without the jitteriness a fully caffeinated beverage can cause. It’s the perfect, healthy pick-me-up any time of the day.
Flavor Profile: An enjoyable blend of cacao and coffee beans, featuring a cocoa aroma with a moderate dark chocolate flavor, light coffee finish and a little spice similar to Mexican chocolate. You’ll taste delicate notes of cinnamon, coffee, blueberry, caramel, nuts, ginger and cayenne pepper.
Ingredients: Organic Cacao Beans, Cacao - Processed with Alkali, Organic Coffee, Organic Cinnamon, Madagascar Vanilla, Organic Cayenne Pepper, Organic Ginger.
Brewing Instructions:
HOT BREW
A French press (SKU #9057) is our favorite, but the GlobalTeas™ Brew Kit (SKU #9179) or a fine mesh tea brewer are also great options. | |
Add 8 oz of boiling to your French press or mug. | |
Add 20 g (2.5 level tbsp or 4 level scoops with theGlobalTeas™ Perfect Scoop – SKU #9048) of ChocolaTea™ to your hot water. | |
Stir gently to ensure all of your ChocolaTea™ is in contact with the water. | |
Steep 6 minutes and then gently plunge your French press or remove your brew basket. | |
Pour into a mug, sip and enjoy! | |
Enjoy your ChocolaTea™ straight up or mixed with your favorite creamer and sweetener. |
COLD BREW
Use a GlobalTeas™ Brew Kit glass (SKU #9179) or a cold brew coffee maker pitcher with a very fine mesh filter basket | |
Add 20 g (2.5 level tbsp or 4 level scoops with theGlobalTeas™ Perfect Scoop – SKU #9048) of ChocolaTea™ per 8 oz serving to your filter basket. | |
Pour 8 oz of cold water through the filter basket in a circular pattern, stir and cover with the lid. If using a pitcher, fill pitcher, seal tightly and shake gently. | |
Place in refrigerator. | |
Steep 12-14hours. | |
Remove the filter basket. | |
Stir or shake gently. | |
Pour, sip and enjoy! | |

DOUBLE SHOT ESPRESSO
Grind ChocolaTea™ for 3 seconds in a Burr grinder maintaining a rough cut. | |
Fill portafilter double shot basket with full mesh. | |
Use a coffee tamper to gently flatten ChocolaTea™ (not tight and no pressure). | |
Follow espresso machine brew instructions for 2 oz serving. | |
Sip and enjoy! | |
Enjoy your ChocolaTea™ straight up, mixed with your favorite creamer and sweetener or as a cappuccino by adding steamed milk and milk foam prepared with the wand on your espresso machine. |
